“Be a student as long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all your life.” – Henry L. Doherty So as I told some of the students today, I think the Earth has changed the direction in which it revolves. Clearly, we are headed back to winter and are tilting away from the Sun! Brrrrrr... Hard to believe that there are 14 days left of the school year. We have covered some very interesting topics this year. What has been your favorite? What concept did you find most challenging to grasp? If you could do anything different, what would it be? We are currently gathering evidence to support the idea that our body is a system of subsystems that work together to maintain homeostasis. Students will conduct an exercise lab to prove this. We will spend the final days looking at the process of respiration, which includes one of my favorite labs. And lastly, genetics.. what makes you look the way you do? Continue to work hard until the very end! Best, Mrs. M :) Extra Credit is due by 6/9. Go to http://epod.usra.edu/blog/2017/06/index.html: Look at the picture from 6/4/17. 1) What is the name of the picture? 2) What is covering the bridge and where is the bridge located? 3) What type of fog is this and where is it common? 4) Give an explanation of why it is common here? 5) Who named this area and what did he think it was?
