I hope everyone has gotten outside this weekend to enjoy this glorious weather. There is no doubt that after all those dark, damp days, we all need a good dose of Vitamin D!!

The end of a vacation is here. I hope you all enjoyed your time away from school and are recharged and ready to come back and make the 4th quarter your best yet!!
On Monday we will return to the lab to finish collecting evidence to determine if various substances are made of cells. What do cells look like? Do all cells look the same? Your will write a CER from the evidence collected. Students will spend class time completing their research on the scientist they were assigned. How did this scientist contribute to the Cell Theory? You all have access to Aspen and you each have your own email address. This is a fabulous way to monitor your own progress. Emails should be monitored daily and Aspen should be checked on a regular basis. Missing assignments should be submitted. Have a great week Team Tornado! Mrs. M :) Extra Credit is due by April 28: Over vacation the Boston Marathon took place. I am lucky enough to go every year and watch the racers cross the finish line. So inspirational! 1) In what year did the first Boston Marathon occur? Name the winner. 2) On what holiday is the Boston Marathon always held and how many racers ran in the very first race? 3) How many miles was the first very first race and how many miles is it presently? 4) Name the big hill that the participants dread going up and at what mile does it begin? 5) Name the male and female winners of this year's race. The good news is the Red Sox had their Opening Day. So maybe Spring is around the corner!
